BOYS/GIRLS STATE CITIZENS--EARN COLLEGE CREDIT FOR SUMMER 2009-2012 PROGRAMS
College elective Leadership credit recognition - transferable elective credits to regionally accredited college you attend post-high school - Finalize your credits right now. Here's how:
'Citizens' attending these Boys & Girls State leadership programs can earn college Leadership elective credits (fully transferable elective credits to the accredited college you select post-high school, with the concurrence of your college's academic advisor/admission office) from Adams State College (ASC). Academic Requirements:
Please note: You are now registering for the Summer Semester 2012. Student academic course Papers can be turned in anytime. Grades post mid to late August 2012.)

For the 3-credit Citizenship Course (HGP 179, Citizenship):
We require that you provide your ASC instructor a copy of the "Thank You Letter" you wrote your sponsoring legion post or auxiliary unit, plus a program reflection paper of not less than two typewritten (double-spaced, #12 font) pages, "providing feedback" to your American Legion Post or American Legion Auxiliary sponsor about your Citizenship experience. Provide Mr. John L. Underwood (), your ASC 'instructor', an email copy of what you wrote not later than 10 August 2012. Want to see/read a course description, click on the course number above.

For the 1-credit College Options Course (ID 179, College Options):
In an email addressed to both the instructor of record, Mr. John L. Underwood ( ), and Mr.Terry Wilfong at the College Options Foundation (), provide a no-more than one-page emailed evaluation synopsis of the free DVD "TOTAL COLLEGE SOLUTIONS." Any and all constructive improvement suggestions are appreciated. This emailed commentary to the College Options Foundation and to Mr. Underwood will determine the final grade received for this one-credit course. GENERAL INFORMATION:
Tuition costs $60 per credit at ASC. Students must register and pay for all tuition costs not later than 31 July 2012, as the free DVD sets are not mailed until the individual registrant's tuition payment is verified by ASC to RTG & Associates. Registrations after 31 July will be accepted for the Fall Academic Semester 2012.

Registrations made Simple!
(Registration Period is 1 April through 31 July 2012)
All 'Citizens' are eligible upon completion of their 'Citizen' week with Girls and Boys State, you currently have the option to register for two elective leadership courses, or up to 4 college elective credits, HGP 179 (three credits) and ID 179 (one credit). HGP 179 is directly associated with your one-week Boys/Girls State experience. Again, ID 179 is related to your College Options DVD, TOTAL COLLEGE SOLUTIONS.

Tuition is $60 per credit. If you elect a minimum of three of these credits (HGP 179), the price is $180. The college preparatory DVD package, TOTAL COLLEGE SOLUTIONS, is provided at no cost for 'Citizens' registering for three or more credits.

Second, you must pay for these credits at the time of registration by credit or debit card, or by check with a printed bill from the ASC Registration site.

Finally, Adams State College will automatically send you your transcripts at the end of the semester. You can order additional transcripts by Clicking Here and ordering them for whatever additional individual need you might have.

Boys and Girls State Citizens, who opt out of the college credits but desire TOTAL COLLEGE SOLUTIONS DVD, can receive it for a $15 fee plus $3 for s.h. Please email Ms. Keirston Stepp () of College Options Foundation to request payment instructions and shipment of the DVD package.

Tuition costs $80 per credit and provides each participant the additional benefit of three social science liberal arts credits for taking on a self-paced Summer research project in United States History.
